I'm a musician first. I've been playing music since I can remember, and have never stopped. I play the mandolin, piano, and guitar well, and I'm working on whistle and bass. I compose music digitally and acoustically, and merge the two whenever I can. I'm a big fan and player/writer of traditional Irish and Scottish music, but also electronic, rock, classical, bluegrass, etc.
I spent my time in college studying game design. I'm most comfortable with Unity, but I can use (and have used) other tools as necessary. I program best in C# and Python, but have also done significant work with Java, C/C++, Lua, and now HLSL. I'm also happy to use workflow programming languages, such as Unreal's blueprints or Max MSP/PureData.
The reason that I'm in game design is that I love games. I'm a big fan of titles like Hyper Light Drifter and Firewatch, as well as my go-to, League of Legends. Working on games, for me, means being able to create and share enjoyable experiences, and any part I take in that process is one that brings me joy.
